Karen’s Afro-Carib Healing Space is a child, youth, and family-focused non-profit organization that supports mental health and emotional wellbeing through holistic, trauma-informed, healing-centered, and culturally responsive approaches.
Our work is rooted in Afro-Caribbean healing philosophies and community-centered practice, and is informed by the lived experiences of African, Black, Caribbean, racialized, and underserved communities. While these communities are intentionally centered in our approach, our programs remain open and accessible to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who engage in our spaces.
Through sharing circles, meditation, yoga, peer support, wellness programming, supportive one-to-one conversations, advocacy, and community-based healing initiatives, Karen’s Space creates opportunities for connection, empowerment, hope, and collective healing.
Karen’s Afro-Carib Healing Space is committed to supporting children, youth, and families in their journey toward emotional wellbeing, healing, and mental wellness through culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and holistic approaches rooted in community care, identity, and connection.
To cultivate safer, inclusive, and healing-centered spaces where children, youth, and families feel supported, empowered, and connected, and where culturally grounded approaches to mental wellness foster hope, resilience, and collective healing across diverse communities.
